5 Years of Healing, Hope & Empowerment

This June, we raised a glass (or two!) to 5 incredible years of healing, hope, and empowerment — and we couldn’t have done it without YOU. 🥂✨

Since our launch in 2020, which saw over 2,500 initially sign up for therapy, we have worked hard matching individuals and families to Black therapists to access life affirming therapy.

We have provided support, raised awareness of mental health and the impact of mental illness as well as pushing for systemic change in mental health services for Black communities across the UK, our work has led to our head of clinical services taking a seat at the Houses of Parliament Health and Social Care committee to emphasis the vital work that our organisation delivers, the challenges that the work brings, the lack of access to statutory funding, as well as some case studies evidencing our impact.

We have supported large corporate organisations, such as Nike and Knight Frank, to deliver transformative mental health awareness talks and workshops. And we are proud beneficiaries of the Rare Impact Fund, set up by Selena Gomez, as part of her commitment to address mental health and self-acceptance to young people around the world. The Rare Impact Fund enables us to raise awareness and increase access to mental health services in universities across the UK.

We work solidly behind the scenes every day and without the intervention of support from public services as well as the Government acknowledging the need for our service, the work is tougher than it should be.

However, 'we move'. Today, tomorrow and every day.
