Meet our ambassadors
Our ambassadors are passionate advocates who share our mission and values.
They help amplify our message, inspire our community, and bring our vision to life through their unique voices and experiences. Together, they play a vital role in spreading awareness, fostering connection, and driving positive change for Black communities across the UK.

Dane Baptiste has had a decade of dominance; as a trailblazer, innovator and incendiary voice in the comedy community. The last 10 years of Dane’s career have come with a number of personal and industry milestones.
In 2014, Dane made history as the first Black British comic nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe. He went on to create, write, and star in SunnyD (BBC Three) — the first Black British sitcom on the BBC in over 20 years — later acquired by Lionsgate for a U.S.
Dane has since become a familiar face on British TV, hosting and appearing on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and Comic Relief.
"I want to be an ambassador for Black Minds Matter UK because of my own struggles with mental health. Especially within the industry I’m in and given the profile I have, there isn’t much understanding for individuals, particularly Black creators, when they experience periods of poor mental health. I’m also aware that my community lacks sufficient resources and awareness around mental health issues, and I want to use my platform to help provide information, raise awareness, and contribute toward collective healing and better mental health for my community."

Gyasi is a TV personality, Author and all round entertainer who has made quite the name for himself on Children’s Television (BBC/Cbeebies, is a best-selling Author (But Dancing Is For Girls!) and the next big chat show host!
From growing up in Northern Ireland, as a unique person from a unique place with a unique name and identity, he always had BIG dreams to make people smile, laugh and feel heard and seen. Which is why he is now stepping away from Children’s Television and into his own show and brand with ‘A Letter To; With Gyasi’ a powerful healing movement. Which is why Gyasi reached out to Black Minds Matter UK with an interest to become an Ambassador.
Whilst actively in therapy, Gyasi has realised how many people, particularly men, can fall through the cracks of the system. Get misdiagnosed and in turn mistreated. Gyasi believes that the BMMUK ethos and mission directly aligns with his new-found knowledge and insight and is eager to get to work with us in order to help make an impact, spread awareness and raise vital funds to match culture with culture within the system.
